Anarchists in Spain were the first ideological tendency in the world to successfully put down a fascist coup by force. The revolution wasn't allowed to flourish because Stalinists (already in a pact with Italy) thought fighting anarchists & other socialists was more important than fighting fascists.

Syrian rebels (HTS) have captured Hama (Syria's 4th largest city) and are now at the outskirts of Homs, the last major city before Damascus. The SDF have crossed the Euphrates and will soon capture the city of Deir er Zoir (largest city in eastern Syria) as Assad's forces retreat from the region.
