Sollors' writings on African American literature, race and ethnicity, multilingualism, and cosmopolitanism shaped the field of #AmericanStudies, constituting a capacious body of work that retains its analytic significance and continues to prove valuable for making sense of contemporary challenges.

💡 We look back on a rich academic and cultural program. Beyond many intriguing talks by the participants and faculty members, a city tour through #Montreal, a picnic at Mont Royal, and an excursion to Kahnawá:ke gave participants the opportunity to get to know some parts of the city and its vicinity

The international summer school brought together 16 (post-)doctoral researchers from 🇦🇹 Austria, 🇨🇦 Canada, 🇩🇪 Germany, 🇮🇹 Italy, 🇵🇱 Poland, 🇺🇸 the USA and 10 faculty members, also from both sides of the Atlantic.
