So back in March, the Trump admin cancelled $1 billion in local food purchases for schools and food banks.

Now, the Trump admin is buying $30 million in produce for food banks, and says that this shows they're supporting farmers?

The math isn’t mathing.

Last week, the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act, legislation CSPI has long opposed, passed the Senate.

This is the exact opposite of what is needed to improve child health outcomes, and this bill is a clear handout to the dairy industry at the expense of our children’s health.

The 2025–2030 Dietary Guidelines for Americans must stay grounded in science, not industry pressure! With more Americans than ever facing obesity and diabetes, we deserve clear, evidence-based nutrition guidance backed by science in our current world of misinformation.

There's no evidence that vaccines and autism are linked, but the CDC has updated their website today to suggest otherwise, despite the significant existing body of research showing that there is no association.

If we’re fighting a ‘war on saturated fat,’ it’s because heart disease is still the country’s leading killer. Ignoring the evidence won’t ‘Make America Healthy Again’—it will just put more people at risk.
RFK Jr says he will end the "war" on saturated fats, contradicting decades of evidence-based dietary recommendations.

"We’re ending the war on saturated fats in this country. So, we’re going to publish dietary guidelines that are going to stress the importance of protein and saturated fats."

Byheart's response to an investigation into a potential botulism outbreak in select infant formula has been "bizarre," according to CSPI's Sarah Sorscher.

It is shocking how hard the Trump administration is fighting to keep SNAP participants from receiving their full benefits—38 days into a government shutdown, and especially as we head into the holidays!
The Trump administration moved on Friday to deny swift and full food stamp payments to millions of low-income Americans, as it asked a federal appeals court to halt a judge’s recent order that would preserve those benefits during the shutdown.

The Better Food Disclosure Act ostensibly aims to reform the “Generally Recognized as Safe” loophole that allows food companies to self-certify the safety of new food chemicals and introduce them into the food supply.

Unfortunately, the bill actually cements this loophole into law.
