Spent like almost a year on/off on this one I think?? Backgrounds have never been my strong suit and outfit colors were hard to match the overall vibe and bg, plus a lot of shit happened in between that had me putting it on the back burner, but it's def my favorite piece now!

I always share my art on these but I want to share my writing this time (and also one whole art of the subjects of my writing)

First one is about my OC Gaeri's OCD based on my own compulsions, and the second is a poem I made from her perspective as if she was journaling. She's the half elf!
Phantom feelings tugged at her skin whenever she touched a particularly grimy tome—like a ghost had rubbed dirt onto her fingers. It started as a subtle feeling, nagging at the back of her mind, until it grew and grew, this invisible force lingering on her hand. Her tension grew until she quickly slapped her hand onto a new book they had gotten in, and she let out a sigh of relief. A poem in white text on a black background that reads: I prayed to all the gods, They never seemed to answer. I begged them for an angel, But silence was their name. When no divine had heard my cries, No Deity in all the planes, Imagine my surprise then when instead, A devil came. Locks of flame, the hottest strand, A blinding light of white. Now more than ever I wanna promote my fave queer history book, Rainbow Revolutions by Jamie Lawson with illustrations by Eve Lloyd Knight. It's youth/teen nonfiction but it doesn't sugarcoat things and is the most comprehensive timeline I've seen in such a digestible format 🧵

I've had a bit of a rough art year, but here's my most recent piece I've finished and some art fight stuff!
