Here are my favourite 15 Dexys / Dexys Midnight Runners / Kevin Rowland tracks. Hope you enjoyed them, particularly if you weren’t previously familiar with Kevin Rowland’s solo material.

By the way, I don’t mind Come on Eileen, but it certainly isn’t in my top 15.

Facebook is promoting events to me which are taking place in May 2027. Absolutely nuts.

This is, potentially, going to be a GREAT day to be a #bristolcity supporter.

Some extremely cheerful news waiting for me on my laptop this morning.

This fox was on my neighbour’s lawn tonight.

No, it isn’t! Daft penalty to give away.

I’m loving every second of the NINE consecutive matches (and counting) which the awful Bristol Rovers have managed to lose.

Call me petty, call me small-minded, call me a wanker.

I don’t care. I’m loving it.

Did you see Moonage Daydream? I really liked it but the reviews were very “mixed”!
December 8, 2025 at 9:26 PM
I’m here to watch a film called Blue Moon which I’ve heard very good things about, but it has proved to be very difficult to find a cinema actually showing it!

Sunday evening pub visit to Clevedon. Drinks consumed. Now off home.

Very atmospheric moon and clouds over my patch of BS23 earlier tonight.

I really want to go back to Hull. I paid it a quick visit during that strange period in 2020 when we were in lockdown but also able to travel. The rules were very odd and, as we now know, not really being obeyed by the Government.

I’d like to go back and see the Bridge, probably for the last time.

The Top 5, for those who care (which, I imagine, is precisely none of you).

In a shocking piece of news, Spotify told me that my top artist for 2025 was The Fall.

I suspect it’ll also be The Fall in 2026, if I live that long.

Bought my parents a new kettle but they aren’t happy with it. Too complicated, apparently.

Looks perfectly normal to me but it’s been the kind of day where everything I do or say is wrong.

Here is my full list, if anybody’s interested. You’ll need to go back to my original posts if you want to know more about why I chose these particular songs.

Some very good songs in there!

My number 1 (1963 by New Order) is a stone cold classic.

If anybody is interested, attached is my Top 30.

I went through a few versions of this, so I think the attached is the final version, apologies if it isn’t!

My final list. The original plan/joke was to have 29 tracks by The Fall & then have something else as number 1. Probably Let Down by Radiohead.

Mani’s sad death changed that plan, so my top 30 was comprised of 29 tracks by The Fall/MES & 1 by the Stone Roses.

FOOTBALL POST - PLEASE IGNORE IF NOT INTERESTED.

Very good day to be a Bristol City supporter. An away win at Pompey and Rovers somehow manage to lose their 8th consecutive game, at home to a side reduced to 10 players for most of the match.
