I wrote a short blog post about how I'd like to see us evolve bridges towards internalizing risk, rather than passing it on to users. Ideally, bridging risk should not be mitigated by having users be aware of each bridging action, gauging it themselves.

Considering this article (www.slowboring.com/p/what-citie...) from @mattyglesias.bsky.social about how the concentrated ownership model can help neighborhoods (as it does for, e.g. Theme Parks, Japanese Rail), I'm starting to think that cities having constant millage is bad.

You can get a glimpse at being a human reading weird accounts by aliens of how they think human society works, often laughably inaccurate, by reading philosophy about a field you know well, e.g. software.

The fact that the API for the U.S. Presidential election was specified in terms of electors was very smart because it allows many possible election variants to be supported in a backward compatible way.

I think you can avoid the significant whitespace in Haskell-like languages just by introducing a keyword to close scopes.
For example, see the first image. Just adding an `end` keyword accomplishes a lot.

Sand, anguish, whispers crashing on the crag,
Bellows, wind brush, waves thrown against the loam,
Salt, tears, an aching, a collapse: alone,
Sunken, ashamed, buried: a sodden rag.
