There may be some situations where that would have been appropriate. Maybe a rally in a mixed area? Where there might be Republicans on the fence to appeal to? But DC is 90% Democratic. It’s a place to turn out the vote and fire up volunteers, not appeal to undecided Republicans.

I went to a Harris rally *in DC* and there were a number of Republican speakers talking about how they were voting for Harris. In DC. I bet there was not even a single Republican in the crowd. I remember thinking “who are they appealing to here?”

You expect us to believe that 8 Senators who are retiring or not up for reelection for years went rogue? No. This was a behind the scenes deal. Show you weren’t part of it by ousting Schumer now.

Already contacted my senators (both no votes) to tell them that if they don’t oust Schumer now they are never getting another dollar or another vote from me.

I don’t believe for a second Schumer opposes it. They just structured the votes so that everybody voting yes is retiring or not up for a primary next year. This is a behind the scenes agreement and he is complicit. He’s got to go.
