As I said in this statement, if Vought thought firing Alexis for doing her job would intimidate the rest of us, he clearly underestimated us again. We will continue to follow Alexis’ model of standing up and speaking out when this administration undermines our obligations to the American people.
The retaliatory firing of our union member Alexis Goldstein for doing her job to protect sensitive CFPB data from DOGE is shameful. We all know one person who deserves to be fired from the CFPB and it certainly isn't Alexis. Yeah, we're looking at you, Vought #StopVought nteu335.org/2026/02/13/c...

Russ Vought is doing everything he can to target the CFPB and its workers, including illegally cutting critical healthcare and insurance benefits. But he underestimates our resolve and dedication to serving the public. This story about one of our members is case in point.

Interesting amicus brief by @democracyforward.org in Trump's $10b tax lawuit. They convincingly make the claim that there is no case or controversy if the President is on both sides of the litigation.

Interesting consequence of the UET.

Make sense of this for us: Trump and Vought have spent a year trying to destroy the CFPB even though "we're THE agency to help consumers with the affordability crisis."
The CFPB experienced an exceptionally turbulent year. Here's why
It's been a challenging year for the consumer watchdog agency, as the Trump administration has tried to deny it funding and lay off most of its staff.

Another loss for Vought.

His sloppy “move fast and break the law” approach means RIFs at the CFPB will remain blocked more than a year after he first tried to layoff the entire staff.
