For the last six years, startmenu has gone back and forth between making a loss and just breaking even. I make no money on Rewinder. My guest spots on GB have been pro bono. I've slept on a friend's couch for every event I have covered (bar SGF when Tencent spent too much money flying people out) for the last 4 years. I have only been able to stay in games media because I am on disability and live at home to help support my parents. However, now that I am done with college, and have spent the most part of this year trying to secure more consistent paid work, I need to make this make sense in the long run. I have been offered an opportunity going in 2026, which will require me to have access to a reasonably powered PC, so any help in making that happen would be much appreciated.

I deeply hate asking for help, but I really want to be able to continue working in this space and continue to foster the next generation of games criticism while making games media a sustainable and realistic line of employment for the next generation.

So even if it's just a buck or two, it would really help out.
