I guess the biggest constraint is turn radius on large vehicles like fire trucks. I will chat with some Dal Engineering students to see what they think.

Could imagine peanut improving ped X-ing too. Current LPI doesn’t help much when confused motorists are still filtering out of intersection long after their turn is over and ped X-ing light is on.
