Also I only made this thread cuz I was sent this image and it says my birth month = transfem Ralsei discourse. That annoyed me because it's my least favorite kind of UTDR discourse (besides fangame criticism) so I just decided to say "fuck it" and put all my thoughts together to share them here lol.

Also this should go without saying but like, I don't hate Transfem Ralsei. I just don't like the overinsistence some people have about it. It's fine to theorize about, but let the guy figure himself out before we decide to label him with new pronouns. Isn't that what you're supposed to do with Eggs?

Also this would be a great way to FINALLY have Susie make a comment about Kris being Non-Binary. Some stupid shit like-

Ralsei: "Kris, Susie, I've decided I'm Non-Binary!"

Susie: "Oh, You mean like Kris?"

-and I wanna see how the "it's up to interpretation" crowd try and deny it after that lmao.

But that's just my personal view of Ralsei as a character. I just think giving Kris someone to relate to more and more would be a great narrative and make me way more invested in the both of them. (Also I just think there's already a ton of important main girl characters and I want some variety lol)

I also think could be why Kris is so adamant on pointing out all the differences between Ralsei and Asriel, perhaps coming from an uncomfortably familiar feeling of being compared to Asriel. Because Kris is more than just "Asriel's sibling" and Kris wants Susie to know Ralsei is more than that too.

It's not hate or even a neutral feeling, but instead discomfort. It's kinda like seeing your dumbass past self in front of you. It's super awkward. But as Ralsei grows to find themself, Kris opens up to them more.

To go into a bit more detail my theory is that Ralsei represents expectations. Specifically expectations of Kris to be exactly like their brother. Or at least, what Kris believes is expected of themself. I feel this would also explain why Kris only heals 60 from the Ralsei tea in chapter 2.
