Either this person actually doesn't mind inspiration being taken from Color Splash, or Color Splash underwent some reality erasing Gaster like event, and I don't know which is funnier in this scenario.

And in this scene in the back rooms, Kris is literally a player. They are in our position as a higher authority with a disconnect to what's happening on the screen. So it would make just as much sense for what ERAM says to be for the player as well.

Then some part of us likes to say it isn't us. Obviously for Kris they're literally possessed, but with the player they also have a perfectly reasonable excuse that "it's just a game." A part of us will always be disconnected from what's happening, no matter how far our disbelief is suspended.

The same kind of way we as players could stop the weird route at any time, the way we could just try and stay ignorant and ignore videos about it. But as fans we're so interested that it's practically impossible for us to ignore it. If we want to understand Deltarune we need to know EVERYTHING.

The player and Kris aren't so different in reality. I believe Kris really could've stopped us at multiple moments in the weird route. But either because of their violent tendencies, their bond with/ love for Noelle, or simply for their own curiosity over what we'll do, they don't stop us.

And the line about "Knowing you could say it wasn't really you" while obviously referring to our control over Kris, could also refer to players who struggle to accept responsibility for their actions, or even players who just watch geno or weird route playthroughs while refusing to do them.

I know a lot of people won't do the weird route, or even geno in Undertale, but the thing is we still go crazy hype for Undyne the Undying, or Sans's fight, or rooting for Kris to kick the shit out of us. This applies to people who just watch videos of the routes too. Especially those people.

Been seeing discussion about what ERAM says before the fight, and something I've realized is that everything they say can be applied to the player too.

Because yes, I do believe a part of Kris did enjoy the weird route, and I also believe there is a part of players that also enjoys it.

Undertale True Pacifist gathering scene if everyone was their overworld sprite height. (Asgore is like, kneeling or something in the original scene so I still have him doing that here btw)

It feels a lot fairer to use overworld sprites as reference because more characters have them, especially in the context of Deltarune where that's literally all you have.

I just want to say a personal annoyance of mine.

I Hate it when people use the battle sprites as reference for character heights. The battle sprites are contextual and if some characters were too small or too big then it would look strange, so they're designed with a specific perspective in mind.
