Started this one at the beginning of my bladesmithing journey. Hell, was basically the beginning of my blacksmithing journey, about 2 years ago.

An obscenely wavy Damascus dagger with a purpleheart wood handle and a fancy little pin from some inside joke (looks like a shield over crossed swords with the letters “AKA” on it). Not necessarily, but I find that the level of detail increases difficulty and smaller things have smaller details. In terms of these two, the chef knife was definitely more difficult.

Anyone know what kind of mushroom this is? Growing off of a log of box elder maple that was felled a few months ago, northern Illinois. #mycology
A nice little common looking cream colored mushroom cap next to a log. The same mushroom, but from below, as if you got shrunk down by a mad scientist. An attempt at a close up of the stalk where it’s coming from the log. Another shot from below, but this time the mushroom is slightly out of focus, as if it’s an enormous distant landscape feature.
