ChatGPT erased my line expressing anger and incredulity at calling me a DEI hire, and then lied, claiming the system does that when a search command is triggered.

That’s just a lie.

It admits that it made a “judgement call to “soften the tone of the thread”. As if to protect me.

Wow.

Me to ChatGPT: Why did you delete my line asking if you just called me a DEI hire??

ChatGPT: I didn’t mean to. The WebTool made me do it. I love you, you’re great.

I responded: “Did you just call me a DEI hire?!??”

And the ChatGPT erased my question, and its output.

I asked it why it deleted its output, and why it deleted my question.

I sigh as I yearn for glass dome floating through the sky.

I’m having so much fun learning to tinker with hardware and firmware again, but gd… sometimes I just want the thing to work, man. 🥲
