Tired nurse, mom, and grad student. I love reading and collecting books. Introvert. Visiting National Parks = my favorite vacations. (She/Her)

Views are my own.

Lol. Everyone is calling out sick for tomorrow. This will be another fun weekend to work in healthcare 🫠

I scheduled myself a nice little Friday off without school or work. There are three 12-hour shifts after this and then a nice little 5 day stretch off to get work done on my project and wrap up the last of the semester work.

These posters started popping up ahead of next week’s We Ain’t Buying It boycott.

From Nov 27 - Dec 1, folks are stepping back from corporate chains like Target, Home Depot, and Amazon. People are done being squeezed, so they are using the leverage of their wallets 💥

Posey snuggles after a long couple of days.

Yesterday we had a big group presentation & one of my group members did her presentation & half of mine leaving me to scramble on the fly (I don’t scramble well).

Today I had two amazing meetings about my Masters project. I’m on the right track there. ❤️

Starbucks can end this today: bargain in good faith, resolve unfair labor practices, and stop the union-busting.

Until then, workers are holding the line! #NoCoffeeNoContract

NEW: Epstein survivors release the most powerful PSA I have ever seen.

Make this go viral so every member of the House of Representatives sees it.

I emailed Starbucks to let them know we wouldn't be purchasing from them until they give their employees fair contracts.

This morning, we had breakfast at a local, independent coffee shop. ☕🌯

I didn't have giving up Amazon, Target, and Starbucks on my 2025 bingo card, but here we are.
RT IF YOU SEE YOUR BARISTA 👀🔥 Starbucks has amassed more unfair labor practice complaints than any company in modern history, so we're on ULP strike! We're demanding higher pay, better scheduling, and an end to union-busting. #NoContractNoCoffee

I just finished placing a bunch of Christmas holds at the library. I think I'll need to buy the new Jenny Colgan book though. I was #21 in line for four copies.

Posey is outside chasing sun beams before the rain returns… she's also judging how I tend to the plants.

Next up: Brigands & Breadknives by Travis Baldree.

I didn't realize the book was coming out this month and didn't see the tour dates. I could've gone to see Travis Baldree in Sacramento Thursday night and I totally missed out.

I’ve been reading the coziest little murder mystery series there is, The Witches Brew Mysteries by Gretchen Rue.

The stories follow recently divorced, newly discovered witch Phoebe as she moves to Raven’s Creek, starting over after her divorce & the passing of her Aunt.

4/5 ⭐️’s for the series

We watched the first two episodes of Welcome to Derry tonight with the Eldest Teenager. It was really good; we all enjoyed it, and it was hard to go to bed without watching the third episode.

Should I be awake right now? No.

Did I wake up thinking about my project timeline and couldn't go back to sleep? Yes.

Does the notes app on my phone now have a rough draft timeline with rollouts, end dates, and meeting dates? Yes.

Can I go back to sleep now? TBD.

Happily resting after a busy day by listening to Christmas music, finishing my last Halloween book, and drinking a margarita.

First time in years my husband didn't bring me a Starbucks red cup and a coffee treat after dropping the kids off at school (a tradition that started when I worked night shift).

We are prounion in this household, so I guess it’ll be a while before I get a coffee. #nocontractnocoffee
As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

I know that future me will be very happy to have my Master’s degree, and I'll be excited to graduate in August. BUT present me wants to go back in time and kick past me in the teeth for applying to grad school.

It's fine. Everything is fine here.

Everyone’s cuddling up to Claude on a rainy morning. Who doesn’t love the famous albino alligator from the California Academy of Sciences?

When my semester is over, perhaps it’s time for a visit. I love it when the Cal Academy is decorated for the holidays.

After working three 12hr shifts I fell asleep on the couch and woke up to the scary kitty curled up in a ball sleeping next to me. ❤️
