When the birth dose of the hepatitis B vaccine for newborns is discussed at the upcoming ACIP meeting, keep in mind Dr. Milhoan’s comments during the last meeting. When he questioned how seriously we should consider pediatric hospitalization data without actual duration of stay, I cringed.

At the last ACIP meeting, I heard Dr. Milhoan minimize the significance of pediatric hospitalization data. He asked for data on actual length of stay, since sometimes he just admits a baby for observation overnight, to give the sleepless parents a break, not because the situation is so serious.

TY for sharing this preprint of yet another study of airborne pathogen spread. What will it take to make governments prioritize indoor air quality in healthcare, schools, workplaces, public transit?

The book doesn't get any better. I didn't need to see firsthand what you saw in order to reject Lee & Macedo's callous claim that since Covid was never an existential threat, reducing deaths & infections should never have been a goal. They reject the effectiveness of NPIs & ignore long Covid harms.

Like Lee & Macedo, Wallace-Wells omits

(1) updated/enforceable standards for indoor air cleaning, filtering & monitoring as essential NPIs in a pandemic playbook &

(2) the severe long-term health harms -disability/death- of novel pathogens.

Mainstream media and the polls likewise disregard both.

The Toronto Public Library applied its grasp of airborne transmission & the importance of monitoring CO2 by lending CO2 monitors. Few public libraries in the US followed suit. The Dept of Public Health in LA County still lists handwashing as the first NPI for reducing the spread of flu in 2025.

Another way to channel public opposition to the ongoing harms: Submit written comments and register to make oral comments at the upcoming ACIP meeting on Dec. 4/5. Our voices need to be heard and documented.

How many cases of pneumonia that resulted in death were caused by Covid?

If the pneumonia that caused death was a complication of COVID, then COVID was the cause of death; they wouldn't have died if they hadn't gotten COVID.
