I do generally prefer Koike's animation dubbed because his style is so fluid and gorgeous it kills me taking my eyes off it even for a second, and the IIIRD dub cast is really good, but ultimately I know I'd get "THAT'S NOT THE VOICE" annoyed too much so I decided to go subbed this time

the Koike films are just such a different beast than usual (mostly in a good way!) that it's... idk, not a 'hard sell' but just less of a broad appeal than a Nice Guy Lupin story. and even though I have blue jacket cosplay from what I can tell he doesn't actually wear the suit that much in the movie

honestly visiting Yokohama might have been more fanboy-fun than Kabukicho, because so much of what makes Kamurocho memorable is fake businesses and brands (and it's seedier lol) whereas Isezaki Ijincho is a little less dense so it's more of a broad "ah, I recall this place!" exploration
