He can take questions to stop talking but he cannot sit, lean or leave the floor.

Exactly. And let's not forget how much more expensive being poor is. For instance, sneakers. Buy them cheap because that is what you can afford, you end up having to buy much more often, and end up spending so much more in the end. Money you don't have. Or don't and end up with health issues.

She might not know the answer, but we are not born knowing the answers. We need educators, need to experiment, etc. Too many students have curiosity deficit and would not think twice about it, but let's shame the one who does? No. Just because ancient Parisians figured it out, did not mean she did.

Yeah, I don't understand the "We're cooked" attitude when it comes to this video. As a science teacher, I was thrilled when I saw the video. Why? She is asking the question. The first step of the scientific method. She is curious. 1/2

Would be interested in helping fleshing these out a bit more. Important to come up with direct vision on policy and ensure the specific rights and people that won't be sold down the river in the name of negotiation.

The big problem is that this lack of time spent with others, leads to each to erosion of community, the lack of understanding of those different than ourselves and challenges/ joys, an entrenchment, and an lack of knowledge on how to organize community to action effectively.
March 16, 2025 at 5:33 PM
There are many reasons for this. Increased cost of being out. A real lack of second spaces available at no to low cost for teens and young adults to go. Lack of community building activity. Fear. Exhaustion from the never ending cycle rat race many of us are on

How can we support you?
March 16, 2025 at 3:07 PM
But local action? This can give you hope. You can see the outcome, up close and personal. You have a direct connection to the work. Your impact is felt, and the impact on you fuels you. Not to say we should not also think nationally and internationally, but sustain through local action.
March 16, 2025 at 2:03 PM
I keep coming back to a quote from Greta Thunberg. "Once we start to act, hope is everywhere. So instead of looking for hope - look for action. Then and only then hope will come." Hope is active. We must cultivate it. It is hard to see on a national scale where we are just one against a tsunami.

The guide I use when planning a lesson is not what do I want them to know but what skills do I want them to come out of the lesson with. Because I know the skills depend on the strong foundation of knowledge, but knowledge is not dependent on skill. #sunchat

Yes. I think they think the time it takes eliminates the breadth they would otherwise cover.
