For Xmas decorations, we have 2 white boards in our yard. Each day we have a different Advent Calendar Dad Joke. I see parents driving kids home from school and stopping to read the joke of the day. I’ve seen school bus drivers stop and read the joke to the kids. Kids look forward to the jokes.

Between a winter storm and holiday weekend, I suddenly feel like I’m in a cabin in the woods rather than in the middle of a city of 2 million. There’s no sound, either from outside or from ambient neighbor noises, which are usually constant in my middle-floor condo. It’s peaceful but a little weird!
