Point the second part three point zero one: range modifiers. The HM has the right to do anything they damn well please, and this includes penalizing the SHIT out of players that piss them off. Not only that, they are SUPPOSED to penalize them. Lets look at range, HMMM? RANGE MODIFIERS: Really not far +4. Not Far, Really +2. Closer than really far +0. Really far -2. Really really far -4 You can also be penalized for lack of light, cover, bad taste in clothing, eating the last slice of pizza, breathing, etc. NOTE: HoLmeisters are notorious for preenable egos, thus, fawning over HMs abilities may produce positive results for your character in the form of positive modifiers. But be tactful - HMs also penalize for brownnosing. THE VERBAL FORMULA for modificattion is: (cut for space repeated above) EXAMPLE: Fuzzteeth's player: how far is it from the muzzle to his mouth? HoLMEISTER: It's really, really, really really really far. -7 to hit rolls. FUZZTEETH'S PLAYER: Fuck you, Dan HoLMEISTER: -12. You lose. we only went to a few bars, including a notoriously awful nostalgia music one which is one of a handful of dance clubs in carlisle. we chatted etc, and i even got up to dance, something i've NEVER done before she wasn't quite there but she bopped along in her seat etc at one point she said to me "this feels like a dream" bought her drinks, in part cause it was her birthday, in part cause it meant i knew how much she'd drank no one was weird or offputting, until some middle aged weirdo was standing too close to us and staring well staring more at her than me, i'm much scarier i noticed it first and got up to dance and i was so clumsy from not having done so, i accidentally elbowed him right in the chest, hard

The movie is showing a starlet screaming in shock from a horror picture, in context it makes it seem as if even the projection is shocked and horrified by the viewer. It's almost the exact inverse of the previous painting ie shown from Gengar's perspective. This, also, is me.

A modified version of one of Charles Addams earliest and best paintings, I can't find a definitive title but I've seen "Sad Movie" informally used, although I always preferred to think of it as newsreel footage or something. A theater full of period dressed in midcentury clothing formal ware sit watching a projected movie. Their faces are contorted in grief and sadness, and expressions of empathy or sympathetic pain are on every face in the crowded theater, except one person, all dressed in black. They are looking at the screen with an almost childlike glee, trying to hide a giggle. The person normally looks like Fester Addams, a bald male with sunken eyes and almost implike features, but it has been modified to the pokemon Gengar, a purple spikey ghost, wearing makeup. The lone figure's sadistic joy almost makes them look like they're a vampire or some other demonic otherized creature - everyone else is crying, how can they find it funny? But to contrast, in a room full of people crying, they are the only one having a good time, and their nonconformity is a source of joy and defiance. Yes I quite like this cartoon lol.

lemmie give you a fer instance: the one after DKR, the (widely considered awful) Strikes Back, which is correctly remembered as hot garbage, still has probably my favorite capt marvel interpretations/sequences... ever? and it's entirely on the strength of the dialogue
