More positively, it also had this absolutely badass high diving board, from which a terrified 8yo Jae once peered down nervously into the plunge pool below (before going back down the stairs THEY SHOULD NEVER HAVE LET ME GO UP IN THE FIRST PLACE, good grief the 1980s were wild)

The Leeds International Pool also had fluorescent strip lighting that crossed the pool diagonally, causing chaos in early backstroke races

It's also why AI art is so popular among fascists. Fascism is ultimately a deeply pessimistic ideology. The message of AI art is, essentially, that human creativity is a completed project. All that is left is for machines to recycle the creativity of the past. To, as it were, RETVRN.

As Blaque observes, this is an essentially *pessimistic* way of looking at the world. It is *pessimistic* of companies and content creators to assume that people don't want anything better than AI "art", that they won't notice or care how empty it is
