Protecting kids shouldn't mean putting the entire population under digital house arrest. Real safety is teaching, supporting, and resourcing families, not handing governments and corporations a blank check to watch everything we do online.

We deserve leaders who spend their weeks building schools, feeding the hungry, and protecting our freedoms, not golfing on our dime, and turning governance into reality TV. The system rewards this corruption. We need to build something better.
5 things Trump did this week:

1. Threatened to take over DC

2. Ordered unconstitutional census

3. Called his Epstein files scandal “bullshit”

4. Got roasted by South Park again

5. Went on another taxpayer-funded golf trip

How to charge rent, they are so laze

We’ve heard these beautiful words for centuries: safety, prosperity, happiness. But in our daily lives we see rising rent, crushing debt, jobs that barely pay, and endless wars. The gap between what they promise and what we live is the proof, this system doesn’t serve us.

Monarchs aren’t just beautiful they’re living indicators of ecosystem health. When they suffer, it’s a signal that something in our shared environment is deeply out of balance. Less poison means more life, for butterflies and for us.
Hundreds of monarch butterflies died in a winter 2024 event. Investigation implicated multiple pyrethroid insecticides:

From The Guardian:
"Combinations of pesticides can have a synergistic effect that makes them even more toxic.
The solution...less pesticides."

When the poor stumble, they’re caged. When the rich traffic children, they’re cushioned. Ghislaine Maxwell’s ‘luxury prison’ isn’t a failure of justice — it’s proof that justice under this system was never meant for us. Accountability must rise upward, or it isn’t justice at all.

New paper: Simulating Time With Square-Root Space

people.csail.mit.edu/rrw/time-vs-...

It's still hard for me to believe it myself, but I seem to have shown that TIME[t] is contained in SPACE[sqrt{t log t}].

To appear in STOC. Comments are very welcome!

Notice how the media change their tune so easily.

They saw that the people supported him, and moved onto the next topic made to blind us.

It's akin to using a calculator. Sure you can know your calculator enough to do additional and multiplication, maybe take a log. But once you get to learn your calculator you'll learn that you can use it to do integrals, derivatives, statistics, vector products and so much more.
General consensus in the replies and quotes of this seems to be that the entire concept of "AI skills" is a joke - how hard is typing text into a chatbot, really?

I will continue to argue that it's genuinely difficult, and that the challenge in using these tools is widely underestimated
No, they're not caught between anything. Stop it. The fact that AI may be used or useful in future jobs does not create a single dilemma at all for college students in how to actually complete their coursework. This is all nonsense & excuses for not doing the reading & learning how to think & write.
