I'm super stoked for the Frame and may end up purchasing a Machine in the long run. Though I already have better internals in my current NUC than the Steam Machine. 😅

I've learned a ton since I started and it's been a blast.

I also may or may not have lost an additional hour to Vampire Survivors as well.

I 'tested' it out last night and can confirm I immediately lost like 2 hours of my life.

I'm constantly trying to ensure anything added to the cabinet has that Arcade feel. Sure you can end up playing a run of Balatro for like 10 hours, but the realistic play session is more 10-15 mins.

Also forgot to add in here:

- Additional Speakers/Subwoofer - for that more actual arcade feel/loudness, though I'm not wanting to do it that much, since this is sitting in my living room.

...kinda won't be blasting the audio on that, on the regular so it feels like regular amp'd stereo is good.

Overall, once I'm 'done' this cabinet will not only look completely different, it'll feel different and be fully something of my own creation, which is the most satisfying part of this.

The Arcade 1UP machines are great but are quite limited in terms of customization for users. Which I don't like.

This is all just for the intial mod, I'll be adding more to the cabinet later on, such as:

- LCD or LED Marquee - Shows the Game Title/updates depending on the game, being played
- Realistic Coin Door - For look/feel, might attempt to get a working coin mechanism working for proper authenticity.

The replacement of the PCB -> Mini PC, allows MAME to be used along with other emulators built into Batocera, allowing for the cabinet to be more multi-purpose.

I already have it setup with around 300 arcade/console games I personally curated which will be MORE than enough for entertainment.

What this all will do is increase the comfort of the cabinet while retaining the original look/appeal of it.

The 2P XL control panel is skinned to match the MKII Midway Legacy cabinet art exactly, while providing more space.

The Booster + Monitor will provide better viewing angles.

Small update though, received the new Sticks and Buttons for the mod and I swapped the Bat-top stick tops for the Japanese style Round tops for now, since I can't do anything else.

The amount of insane DEI conspiracy people in Steam is staggering. The anti-woke community in general is so fucking annoying I'm glad to see some devs standing up to them.

I'm definitely getting tired of seeing people reporting that, "There's a POC in this game, WOKE, AVOID".
