The anxiety of waiting for a possible employer to get back is palpable. I’d rather not go back to retail. I can see a career at the one I’m waiting for. I might actually be able to use my degree eventually

Nothing from the the hiring HR on the job I interviewed for last week. They aren’t likely to ghost and the better job last year took two weeks. Interview next week for a local engineering company so there’s that. Remaining hopeful.

A least while I’m waiting for last weeks interview to get back to me I can sign up for a different interview for an equivalent job. Though less data entry, more front desk.

Went from greatly reducing my screen time the last two weeks to endless doom scrolling this week. Amazing what a single bad day can do. I thought I had a source of income sorted out for a least 6 months but alas. Still hoping Mondays interview was fruitful. It went really well.

Got the temp job after all. Plus my app for a permanent job got pull by a least one department so things are looking up. Though pay on all should be higher.

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.
This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.
It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.
