Yes, a progressive Dem who did better than centrist Dems in a place where the leadership swore up and down that the only way to have a chance was to run as a centrist. Hell, two of the candidates in the county ran on both the Dem AND Conservative lines and still lost!

I don’t need any foreigners to spell those positions out for me, by the way. Leadership in my own county’s Dem party has said to my face that we shouldn’t fight for trans rights, that we shouldn’t have shut down the government, and that some of Trump’s appointees are fine and dandy.

They’re soft on Israel, they were too willing to appoint Trump’s cabinet picks, they’re very willing to give up transgender people’s rights, and they just generally aren’t fighting hard enough for the things their voters believe in.

To them, it’s business as usual. It’s “let’s hold hands and be bipartisan and can’t we all just get along” and that’s not what we need. I’ll defend the ACA and the subsidies they let go forever, but Medicaid for All is the goal and it’s a popular one that Dem leadership isn’t pushing for.
