Yes it would be one thing if they had a stellar track record when they put a thumb on the scale. They don't. #MEpolitics

Senate President Daughtry, why did you block consideration of a bill that would have prohibited law enforcement from wearing masks?

Isn't this type of basic transparency from agents of the state a bedrock condition for freedom and civil society? #MEpolitics
Lawless, criminal behavior

Guess it's a good thing but kind of icky to see LePage-enabler Rick Bennett up there. #MEpolitics

OK probably a different Paul Mills.

Took us down a rabbit hole, however: Didn't realize Janet Mills endorsed her Republican brother against the incumbent Dem governor in 2005. tinyurl.com/4chkw8jk #MEpolitics

Interesting thing toward the end in 2020 when it seemed like Susan Collins would lose: Media outlets including the NYT that were previously wired to puff her up started putting out less subservient stuff.

Presumably trying to get in good with Gideon and cultivate her as a future source. #MEpolitics

A supposedly non-partisan non-profit running a PR errand for their queen.

"What did you do when the fascists came, grandpa?"

"Well, I typed up a bunch of warmed over PR for one of the regime's chief enablers. Why do you ask?" #MEpolitics

Portland Press Herald's news judgment is that the MOST important thing going on in Maine right now is that Susan Collins (and Angus) took a meaningless vote on an in-the-weeds proposal that's not going anywhere? (And badly mischaracterizes that vote.)

What are we doing here, folks? #MEpolitics

To spell this out: Susan Collins and Angus voted to kill a DHHS rule that'd limit public comment/notices about agency actions. (As you can probably guess, it's almost certainly not going to pass.)

That's very different from 'rebuking' RFK Jr. But it's at the top of PPH's home page. WTF? #MEpolitics

Just as bad from Maine Public. And no acknowledgment that they published a story just a couple days ago -- by the same reporter! -- forecasting a different outcome.

Total contempt for their own readers/listeners. #MEpolitics

Not much better from Portland Press Herald.

It's almost like everyone's reading off of the same (Susan Collins-supplied) script. #MEpolitics

After voting to kill the ACA subsidies and spending the week trashing the Dems clean bill, Susan Collins turns around and backs their extension.

Redux of her Hegseth vote: Collins waits till the GOP has the votes they need and only does the 'right' thing when it won't make a difference. #MEpolitics
