i think the biggest differences is that on the left, any conscious disinfo effort is less often, of lesser magnitude, and at the grassroots level, whereas on the right, the conscious disinfo effort comes from the top of the movement.

only recently has "the left" started in on this. 'JD Vance, Couchfucker' is a good example of lefties knowingly doing disinfo, and trump blowing bill clinton is another one. it's not clear to me the degree to which the political right is knowingly doing disinfo but it's quite intentional on the left
