China’s CO2 emissions have now been flat or falling for 18 months, starting in March 2024.
This trend continued in the third quarter of 2025, when emissions were unchanged year-on-year.
If this trend starts to move into sustained carbon emissions reduction it would be hugely significant.

Great job, Canada. I know we get Some envy of the US at times, but this shouldn’t be one for an entirely preventable disease.
Maybe more on public health and less on defense. With US insurance premiums about to 3-5x, another strategy is to just be healthier than the competition.

My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.

It’s still weird seeing how much friction US citizens face in voting. A bedrock of democracy feels like it’s worth everybody being concerned about because it is the way we reflect fair representation even if we personally don’t like the outcome.
