Also, it would strengthen the case for Canada's purchase of JAS-39 Gripen E-series as an alternative to F-35.
Which IMO would be an excellent decision, given much lower (80% or more !) running cost of Gripens, and the fact that Canada have a decent number of F-35 on order already.
