My Facebook feed is mostly AI slop photo galleries of “French Country Cottages” with hundreds of comments “So beautiful!”

But last night was the first time I caught bad AI in a setup for an otherwise functional recipe. It was subtle and confusing. Too nonsensical to be a typo. AI doesn’t grok food.
Words can't describe the sheer amount of terror when I see old people I care about sharing theftbot-generated anything and not realizing (or knowing the obvious tells) that it was generated via theftbot. The internet truly is a cesspit now. defector.com/glossy-gunky...

FedEx: Failing Every Delivery EXpertly.

My "next day" delivery package for work was supposed to be delivered by 12:20pm. Then by 8pm, guaranteed. It's now 9:38pm, and the tracking says by "end of day". Signature required. I ain't staying up until midnight!

Excuse me while I go blow chunks.
Missouri's AG Andrew Bailey is suing Starbucks, arguing that its workforce is too "female" and "non-white" and as a result Missouri consumers “pay higher prices and wait longer for goods and services" because its workforce is "less qualified"

This is a brazenly racist and sexist lawsuit.

Interesting idea! I don't know how well it will work in practice if people start looking for the "missing releases" between epoch jumps, but maybe that's a holdover habit from SemVer. Curious to see where this will go in the future.
Proposing an extended SemVer -

🗿 Epoch Semantic Versioning

to communicate better about versions.

Thinking of adopting this to all my projects, and finally eliminating my lousy habit of forever zero-major practice 😜

What do you think? 👀

I just had to explain to my German Shepherd that my adjusting the grandfather clock was not actually changing the time. The look of wonderment on her face changed to skepticism, and she looked to Mum to confirm if it was true. When Mum did, Laci Jane laid her head down with an air of disappointment.
