Sad thing is, he's quite possibly right. Trump got elected with a worse C.V. -- twice.
Dude who helped organize all-out attack on our democracy and refused to talk to Congress about it, and helped Epstein even after what he did was known. thinks he can be president. 🇺🇸 🤷🏼

THIS IS THE WAY
Philadelphia Sheriff Rochelle Bilal warns ICE:

"No law enforcement professional wears a mask... Those that come into our communities wearing a mask to commit crime... You getting arrested".

"Fake wannabe law enforcement... The criminal in the WH will not be able to keep you from going to jail".

To international travelers:

Do not come to the US right now! Do not support any US companies either. Stay away from anything marked or vaguely associated with the US. No one is safe here with bands of incompetent heavily armed haters killing & snatching people off our streets!

You’ve been warned.

We crossed THAT rubicon a LONG time ago. THIS rubicon is the "this won't end without bloodshed of some kind" rubicon. No I'm not calling for violence. I'm saying the regime won't leave without a fight to the death & now they are casting off even the pretense of guardrails. They'll stop at nothing.
I really believe when Renee Good was shot to death by our government on Wednesday that our country finally crossed an ugly hateful rubicon that won’t end until the current fascist leaders of this country are removed and charged with crimes against humanity!

You might as well be admonishing a brick wall. She is a liar on all subjects to the extent that she's probably out of touch with reality by now.

But as a fellow New Yorker, I DO want you to do everything in your power to facilitate that independent investigation whereof you speak.
I am hereby calling on Press Secretary Leavitt to stop blatantly lying to the American people.

A mother of three who is now dead very clearly backed up and turned the wheel to get away from an ICE officer illegally trying to open her car.

There must be an independent investigation.

Even if not "trapped", other countries have concerning serious problems too, including the potential to be invaded by the US; people have family and friendship ties and obligations to consider; etc. The whole world is vulnerable to fascism right now. To a large extent there's nowhere TO run.
Please remember that not everyone can flee America.

Many people can’t even flee their state.

A lot of countries won’t take people who are disabled, poor or marginalized.

They’re trapped.

They need our support.

They need us to fight for them.

They need to know they won’t be left behind.

Unbelievable.
NEW: Colorado Gov. Jared Polis suggested he’s considering clemency for election denier Tina Peters. The announcement comes days after Trump vindictively vetoed a bill to fund a clean water pipeline for the state.

Also: Civility for me, not for thee.
"Quit demonstrating" is not something that a pro-democracy politician says. It's something that an authoritarian tool says.
Rep. Roger Williams: "People need to quit demonstrating, quit yelling at law enforcement, challenging law enforcement, and begin to get civil."

Of course a socialist would see everything in terms of class warfare; it's what they do. I agree with the author though. There's nothing more patriarchal than controlling what a woman does with her own body. Also the religious right invented modern anti-abortion rhetoric.
A review of Mary Fissel's book "Abortion—A History", by the Socialist Worker. They recommend the book but criticize her position that patriarchy is the cause of women’s oppression, claiming that it's "class society" that's had the biggest impact on women’s reproductive rights.
Tracing the long history of abortion and criminalisation
Despite a flawed analysis of women's oppression, In Abortion—A History by Mary Fissell widens the discussion around decriminalisation.

OmgNews looks like a sketchy site to me. They have a legal disclaimer about the accuracy of their reporting on the site. I see no evidence Congress is on the verge of growing a pair when they have let him get away with a lot more than $3B of graft and corruption already.
Not sure if this is true. Someone fact check this please?

The GOP wishes it had the time travel technology that Dems use. They're just jealous.

From what I can tell with his passing it is 218 GOP seats, 213 Dem and 4 vacancies. Presumably LaMalfa's seat is considered Republican unless & until the GOP loses the ensuing special election.
With the retirement of Marjorie Taylor Greene, and the passing of LaMalfa, it looks like the GOP no longer holds a working majority until his seat is filled. It’s at 217. They need 218 for a majority.

Often, yes. But in this case the protesters were in the street & were asked repeatedly to move to the sidewalk in accordance with local and state law (such restrictions are common everywhere). So unless the police are outright lying the basis for the arrest was not her speech.
Local cops are just another arm of the feds.

This is the guy who was going to create a 3rd political party and was done with Republicans, lol.
For those who don’t believe that there is reason enough to vote Democrat in the midterm elections.

I believe they only smell if you crush them.
I learned something interesting. I cant smell "stink bugs" because its apparently a genetic trait to be able to do so (like how some people taste soapy cilantro). I always wondered why they were called stink bugs when I never noticed any odor from them. Apparently only some people can haha

I cut my teeth on Gerald Weinberg's "Psychology of Computer Programming" and I daresay that no single book has more influenced my career. Unless it was "Becoming a Technical Leader" or "Secrets of Consulting". Understanding the human side of the craft is crucial to success.
One rejection I got on this paper said: "too much psychology for a software audience" which really describes my last four years accurately 😂

I suppose they are. I have no direct experience with them. Even apart from profit motives, that sunk cost fallacies prevail shouldn't surprise me.
Nonprofits are just as bad in my experience

Execs want to frame the questions because they aren't interested in findings that are uncomfortable or inconvenient to the direction of the business. It's an inherent problem in for-profit orgs.
...actually had really strong instincts and sharp thinking about experimental mindsets, wanted to do more causal inference thinking, but had that beaten out of them by corporate cultures that prioritized groupthink, "executives are the only people who get to frame the questions," etc

Unless someone can substantiate the claims in this video, I have to say this is probably a repackaging of stories about cumulative DOJ resignations coupled with an unsubstantiated rumor of a "classified" directive issued last night to illegally arrest 3 unnamed political opponents.
Why isn't this all over at least the independent media this morning? Seems like a pretty big deal. Like, a turning point. Like, if this doesn't result in widespread revolt, our goose is cooked.
