It warned of a new disease that was killing gay Americans. A few cases had just been identified in the UK too.
At that time, the disease did not have a name.
We now know it as AIDS.

It’s so refreshing to hear an MP acknowledge that the true disgrace of trans healthcare isn’t the mythical children being hurried into surgery (it DOESN’T HAPPEN!) but the years and years that trans people have to wait to be seen for affirmative care.

When a person living with HIV is on effective treatment and their viral load is undetectable, they cannot pass on HIV.
