pretty sure it's the author's ghoulish obsession with crushing trans people out of existence but what do I know
In @nytopinion.nytimes.com

Younger generations “have fallen out of love with Harry Potter because they have fallen out of love with the worldview the series represents,” writes Louise Perry. “Which is to say that young people have fallen out of love with liberalism.”

today I learned that a bird's loyalty is fickle, because although my old bird does not care much for the new bird, it sure didn't stop my old bird from attacking me when I toweled his brother to do his toes

I wrote a pantoum about Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein and familial estrangement due to my queerness. I love the film so much that I've watched it 3 times since it came out, and according to GDT, that means I'm married to it. Delighted to have my poem featured in @longconmagazine.bsky.social

I think the thing that a lot of people aren't getting yet is that your status as a human being is revocable. It's not a crime to do these things, it's not morally reprehensible if they don't see you as a person.

A fascinating side-effect of going through a separation as an auDHD adult is rediscovering (or becoming aware of) the systems and tools that I was not able to maintain with another body in the house. 🧵

so you're telling me that our city spends over 100% more on cops than other comparable cities, but we approved the RPS budget, and now we're talking about cutting transit? genuinely get fucked, #yqrcc. your priorities are not what is actually best for the people.

The craziest thing about being in a tiny minority that still masks is that I've gotten sick literally 2-3 times in the last ~6 years and every flu season/COVID spike/Norovirus wave I just watch people willingly get sick repeatedly because they don't want to mask. It works, idk what to tell y'all.
