I just had the nicest interaction with Fikhar of BatikYin about batik and my grandfathers' home town after I placed an order.

Yay, I caught the flu bug. Luckily my mom had all her vaccinations.
I apologised to her as people in my office will never learn to stay home when sick so the virus is spreading like wild fire there.
Her: as long as people don't cover their mouth during flu season I am always at risk.

Husband has the heavy cold and I can't properly walk today as my legs are really hurting.

We were in Amsterdam yesterday and ate at the Satay Club and they have my Indo-European seal of approval for being the best satay in town. I had the authentic set which is lamb skewers and lontong (cold sticky rice) and the sambal goreng beans hit me with nostalgia for my moms cooking.
