This year I attended Mossley Hill Parish Church to join their Remembrance Sunday service. A bit smaller than the one I presided over last year as Lord Mayor but in some ways more meaningful. Especially when they read out the names and some addresses of the fallen in my ward. #Liverpool

In real elections up and down the country, it's the Liberal Democrats that are taking on Reform UK's divisive politics. #UK

What's happening happening at the Mystery (AKA) Wavertree Playground?
United Utilities have been doing boreholes to test out the possibility of installing an underground reservoir there to minimise the chances of flooding at the Queens Drive bridge. 1/2

Hey #USA #America this is what happens when you have a health service which is free at the point of delivery and which bases it’s practices and services on science and not right wing voodoo drivel.

I attended a brilliant event this afternoon organised by Merseyside Polonia to pay tribute to Czech and Polish brother-in-arms who laid down their lives for us defending #Liverpool in the Battle of Britain. May their valour always be remembered.

I'll be reading these books to youngsters and their Mums, Dads and Carers at Allerton Library today at 13.00. All are welcome.

This morning I picked two bags of litter on Allerton Road where there are 8 rubbish bins. Half a bag was collected within 10 yards of a super bin! Why are a small number of people slobs? #PennyLane #Liverpool

This skip was absolutely full by the end of the day yesterday as part of a campaign by local residents in the Bridge Road area of Penny Lane to clean up and make more healthy their back entries. If local residents want one please contact me at [email protected]

7 volunteers including me filled this skip with waste from 2 entries in #PennyLane Ward. What a glamorous life e councillors have! If you live in my ward and want a community skip let me know. In the meantime if you have and building work done please ensure that the builders take it away.

Great afternoon at the Dovedale School Dovefest. Thousands of people have been and they were still pouring in when I left. It’s a much loved local school. Now off to the Mossley Hill Festival #Liverpool #PennyLane

I attended the Armed Forces Day service at Liverpool Parish Church on behalf of ⁦Liverpool Liberal Democrats. A thoughtful time as the standards are lowered in remembrance of those that died for our freedom and in respect for our sovereign.

I went out to Dovecot Library today and was shocked to hear from Phil Knibb that this facility and the library at Breck Road are being threatened by actions by Liverpool Labour. How can they do this to two of the poorest communities in Liverpool? ⁦

After 1.5 years of residents listening to a badly maintained drain cover clang like a bell at least 3,000 times a day UNITED UTILITIES are finally repairing this defect. #Liverpool #Penny Lane

Out for 1.25 hours this morning and only filled 1.25 bags. There must have been lots of ⁦Penny Lane Wombles out or people are being tidier. I’ll try again tomorrow.

I was in Devon County council on Saturday working with the massively expanded Lib Dem Group. I went into the Council Chamber with the new Lib Dem Deputy Leader Cllr Paul Arnott.
