UPS has announced 78,000 job cuts since last year. Its CEO made $24M.
HP announced up to 6,000 layoffs in November. Its CEO made $21M.

I don’t know whether there should be a Royal Commission into the #BondiMassacre; but surely it would be better to do so, just to take the politics out of it.
But a Royal commission should have a broad scope that includes Islamophobia and other influences that may have contributed to this event.

After going to bed maybe after 3am 🙄, I ate mostly (very nice!) leftover Fruit Pavlova, I cut most of the grass in back garden & raked, I had a healthy salad for dinner (offsetting the Pav 🤣), watched more The Witcher, break to water garden.

How was my 1st day of 2026?

I guess #Australia is like the rest of the world where traditionally left-wing parties have gone to the centre, or as seems more common now they’ve actually gone right-wing. Time to vote leftist independents & minor parties instead.

I consider the #ALP, especially under @albomp.bsky.social, to be a #rightwing party with little in common with the #Labor of #GoughWhitlam. For left-wing voters like me, that means first-preferencing #Greens, #Independents or other minor left parties, with ALP marginally above #LNP & other crazies.
