Reducing pollution is not only good for our health & the climate, it's good for our wallets. Transitioning to EVs frees drivers from volatile global fuel markets.

The Coltura EV Cost Savings Index has WA drivers saving about $3,700/year on fuel and maintenance by switching to electric.

You can save up to $2,000 on a heat pump through federal clean energy tax credits - but they expire Dec. 31, 2025, due to federal rollbacks.

Local govs., like Seattle’s Office of Sustainability & Environment, are stepping up with their own rebates!

Heat pumps are more efficient than gas furnaces & water heaters. They don't rely on fossil fuels meaning improved air quality, reduced pollution & cost savings.

Buildings = 2nd largest share of GHG emissions in WA at nearly 25%. Scaling heat pumps is essential to meet decarbonization goals.

From the story: “One of the strongest policy tools available to states are cap-and-invest programs…A cap provides certainty that emissions will lower even under a range of uncertain future conditions.”

EDF found that if states fulfill climate commitments, they’ll significantly cut emissions.

Developing #SAF is key to hitting emissions reduction goals. Aviation, marine & rail = 16% of WA’s greenhouse gas emissions.

Moving from jet fuel to biofuels will cut pollution, create green jobs & boost ag for SAF feedstock.
