Just finished up some homework for my networking class. They had us make a distributed file system in Java using networking concepts and structures. The code isn't the cleanest at the moment but it does work correctly.

Client view of application. Client chooses to save a new file called "siliconvalley" with the "But here's a fact: I am the only one of these clowns who can code in Java, and I write sleek performant low-overhead scala code with higher order functions that will run on anything. Period. End of sentence." for the file contents. The server responds with "The file siliconvalley has been successfully saved." Leaf #1 view of application. Receives POST request from client with file name and content. Breaks content into 20 chunks of 8 characters. Proceeds to either write file chunk to itself or send to another server. Finally, sends all locations of segments after splitting to central server to be stored. Leaf #2 view of application. Receives chunks of file content from other leaf and saves it to itself. Central server view of application. Receives string of text with all segments and their locations concatenated together from leaf to store for later requests to get file.
