Drone (semi-autonomous) CASEVAC absolutely has been a big thing. In some areas 25% of UKR casualties are moved from point-of-injury to Role 1/2 on multipurpose vehicles not identified or used exclusively for medical, very similar to Napoleonic system. Ammo to the front, wounded to the rear.

Really love how the CJCS lists "People" as one of his 4 top priorities while basically presiding over the biggest dump the Department has taken on its own people in over 50 years.

Just started David Todd's A Velvet Empire on French informal imperialism and really enjoying it. Some great discussion about the nature and definitions of imperialism - and comparisons to American post-WWII "influence imperialism."
Highly recommend it so far.
