Thomas Newman's 1917 score is one of my favourite soundtrack s of all time. That move is on my top 10 list for sure, for the same reasons Fury Road is - action drives the story, and subtext is there for the second view. The first is for the visceral, 5-senses experience. You can't escape for 90 mins

Thomas Newman's 1917 score is one of my favourite soundtrack s of all time. That move is on my top 10 list for sure, for the same reasons Fury Road is - action drives the story, and subtext is there for the second view. The first is for the visceral, 5-senses experience. You can't escape for 90 mins

Fun fact - CYBERARCHY was originally in black and white with inkwash shading, and I've gotten so used to the idea, it's gonna be used a lot more in my future work, including Phantoms.

Speed is a great film for many reasons but also the subtle design work. Yeah it looks very "realtime" in terms of cinematography and the music is amazing - but they also found the PERFECT bus in terms of aesthetic and sound design. Just perfect. No other words
