The flags are a show of Glasgow’s very long Anti-Apartheid history. In keeping with the naming of Nelson Mandela Square and the new statue planned by the Council. They are nothing to do with Judaism, but relate to the apartheid, ethnic cleansing and genocide of Palestinians by the state of Israel.
