posting a summary of Umberto Eco's "Ur-Fascism" characteristics here for no reason

I lived there 2011-2021. Even before COVID there were hotspots of whooping cough and measles around us.

We moved out in 2021. I’m immunocompromised too. Before the vaccine was eve released my doctors were already abandoning masking & all precautions. You’d feel much freer if you left (though I don’t think masking is common anywhere in the US at this point).🫂

I miss the sunsets over the Gulf sometimes but not any of the rest of it.

American kids are getting sicker younger. By the time they’re adults they’re already set on a course to poor health. Sociocultural factors as well as the medical system. And now they’re taking vaccines away.

Similar experience in Japan vs the US. Getting in to see a specialist in Japan was vastly quicker too, taking a few days to a month or so. In the US I regularly wait 6-9 months to see a new specialist, and they often cancel at the last minute. MRIs & other testing are much quicker there too.

Here’s a list of all the town halls in the next month. Please attend one near you. Tell dem reps to push back! When someone in my district was taken, our indivisible group spread the word and we all called nonstop. They were able to locate the person and help get them out.

As an immigration attorney, I am constantly reminded that what this regime is doing to its citizens would qualify them for asylum had they been coming from another country. Well, at least when we recognized the right to asylum….
