Here be my take on an Eldes (Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness) redesign for the sake of pure funsies, and character design exploration! The mask idea stemmed from Cosmicssubway's sketch of an Eldes redesign from a couple years back! I just personally thought that the mask was an EXCELLENT choice for Eldes, considering his more quiet, and reserved nature, personality wise. The main elements I wanted to emphasize in this redesign was pattern consistency, and shape language. Mainly focused on sharp edges / angular shapes to make his silhouette imposing, while also adding in some soft curves, and shapes to accentuate his hidden gentleness as a person. The patterns on his sleeves are now the only recurring pattern that stays throughout his design, as a means of simplifying his clothing patterns.
