I am so excited that trusted, reputable, capable, Patel is handling the National Guard Shooting. Sure hope there is enough money left for the resources he needs and that it didn't all go to transport his girlfriend around. When Patel gives an update, who even knows if it is true or lies.

1. In the immediate aftermath, news outlets will get it wrong.
2. Don't trust anonymous sources.
3. Don't trust stories that cite another news outlet as the source of the information.
4. There's almost never a second shooter.
5. Pay attention to the language the media uses.
• “We are getting reports”… could mean anything.
• “We are seeking confirmation”… means they don’t have it.
• “[News outlet] has learned”… means it has a scoop or is going out on limb.
6. Look for news outlets close to the incident.
7. Compare multiple sources.
8. Big news brings out the fakers. And photoshoppers.

I can think of wars of all kinds that Trump has started including this one in Venezuela that he is about to go with, but can anyone name the supposed 8 wars he has stopped? I can't for the life of me think of even one. Maybe Israel's war, but that one I don't consider stopped.

Chuck Schumer did a great job today. He pushed for, and received, a unanimous vote FOR the Epstein bill, and made a liar out of the hapless Mike Johnson. Schumer also, in effect, made Trump far less powerful than he was yesterday. Schumer, it turns out, is a wily m’fűcker who played the long game.
