Only morons would argue for cyclists to seek 'greater visibility' in broad fucking daylight

You think motorists who are blind to cyclists in broad daylight are going to see an extra bit of high-viz kit?

Extraordinary these campaigns are still running

What I did not like

& could not agree with

Nor understand

Was Paul Rouse at the end

Someone who I've the height of respect for

Complaining about us sharing this wondrous image for our own amusement

Tho in fairness to Primetime – they showed it while he complained about it

Since when are journalists adopting British terminology to describe subversives?

AFAIK the only groups to use terror as a tactic in the 26 counties are the British and Loyalists

Some subversive groups have used terror, but not all subversives use it

Never forget

That a sizeable proportion of the British establishment (both "liberal" & Tory)

Still views Ireland as a colonial object that's sole function is to serve Britain's narrow security interests

That's who our Gov want to abandoned neutrality for.

Very curious how there is no mention of his employer's role in fomenting this particular 'populist' smear of Connolly

The cowardice of Irish liberalism...

RIP

An interesting, if (inevitably) flawed, participant in the politics of our island

Only the other day, I refreshed my memory about his take on Say Nothing (a piece of journalism I have my own reservations about)

Though this struck me as mostly petty

Always interesting to compare how subs in different news organisations decide to frame the same story...

I am more than a little late to do my own bit of promotion for this, but my book The Communicative Architecture of Policing was published by Routledge in August.

I guess the blueshirts have recent form here

Wonder will there be an intervention from the current Min for Justice?

So is it the position of the 'paper of record'?

That the cab-rank rule is bad?

And that Deputy Connolly should have ignored it?

And risked disciplining from Bar Council for breach of professional ethical obligations?
October 8, 2025 at 10:26 PM
I see the non-story writer has logged on

What is the paper of record suggesting here?

That @eirigi1916.bsky.social are an unlawful organisation?

FWIW I don't think Keena ever recovered from the personal shock of the acquittal of the Jobstown Six

Ah I see you get a first class honours for playing the tried and tested racist dog whistle

I ask again, what is the purpose of 'the paper of record' now?
