Did you guys really think the toilet paper thing was going to hit? Thanks for calling attention to the inhuman conditions in US prisons.

Oh those pesky security cameras, always malfunctioning right at the time when they might provide evidence against Republicans.

In Minnesota specifically, the ACA cut the number of uninsured residents from around 9% to about 4%.

Like, the principle difference between a concentration camp and a really bad resort is that you can come and go at will.

So this addresses my question but I'm not clear if it really answers me. Do we KNOW that people will be involuntarily committed to this facility? That's the key question for me. Uncertainty is still bad, but if we know the answer is yes, then this is definitely bad.

So then I wonder: What percent of people who are long on A.I. believe there really is a bright future where this technology is profitable, and what percent are just riding the wave before the inevitable crash?

So why is the market still long on A.I. firms? The answer, I'm sure, is that stock prices don't respond to the realities of the marketplace, they respond to PERCEPTIONS of the marketplace.

It's not clear from the coverage whether this will be a place people are forced into or invited to willingly. Before we call it a concentration camp (which may be appropriate!) do you know whether people will be free to come and go at will?

If so then it seems good, actually.

He said that the agents would throw food at them to eat. The agents threatened to withhold food for a week and to beat him up if he didn't sign deportation papers. He said he saw others refuse and get beaten/receive no food. He signed because he was afraid.

Her husband told her that detainees at Broadview had to get up at 5am to get in line for one bathroom. He often peed himself. One time he had to wait until 2pm to use the bathroom. You could only use the bathroom once a day. He said the agents would beat you if you used the bathroom on yourself.
