I saw it in the cinema with amazing surround sound, and the ancestors scene was truly transformative. If you can rewatch even just that scene with the best sound you can get your hands on I’d recommend it.

Yeah nice! Because it's people I'm really working on getting those skin tones looking great, which can just be a bastard. I like the manual way of doing things though, because it's like a colour puzzle (goats look great btw)

hahaha no - I watched some YouTube about a few different things - high frequency blurring to get soft textures without overall image softness, and also a davinci wide gamut to aces film negative, to film emulation (positive) to rec709 pipeline. It's pretty sick.

Ready player one had a great cinematography choice I noticed. The real work was either shot on film, or they
emulated it, and the virtual space was super clean, no grain digital capture

I can only speak for myself, but I much prefer to make things, scuttle out of the gloom, present my bauble to whoever hired me, and then retreat back into my nest. It’s better for everyone.
