Sadly, the degrees being de-classified read like a list of the most high-needs professions (and heavily care-oriented and women-staffed fields).

100%. I've been on four searches in four years. Texas and Florida are heavily represented (and to be honest, there are especially high numbers of faculty of color). It seems to be a "Great Brain Migration." Sadly (for them), their loss is our gain. We certainly will appreciate their work here.
