Sure. And Labour's chosen to continue those policies in the full knowledge that they won't address the multiple crises we face as a country (deepening inequality, falling productivity, crumbling public services, climate crisis etc) but will entrench the power of capital and make the rich richer.

Tory austerity and Brexit both undoubtedly caused major economic problems. But the causes of our current economic woes run much deeper: an unshakeable commitment to neoliberalism, which has no solutions to growing poverty & inequality, failing public services, the climate and ecological crises etc

The stakes are high. The prospects challenging. But this should concentrate minds. Progressive forces need to put differences aside and coalesce round a radical programme. Some form of Red/Green alliance feels like the way forward.
