Our SEE3 High Street Happenings team are getting ready for our much loved Easter Egg Trail. On Easter Saturday, we are inviting children under 10 to make an Easter Bonnet at Ignition Brewery between 12 noon and 2pm and then parade in the high street with some traders offering mini-eggs.

The consultation for the new Bakerloop express bus service from Lewisham to Waterloo is now open. The proposed route would mean quicker, easier bus journeys, and will also help to demonstrate how the Bakerloo line tube extension would benefit South East London.

VOTE FOR ALEX YEE ON TUESDAY 17 DECEMBER in BBC Sports Personality of 2024. Lewisham born and raised Alex won the Olympic gold medal in the triathlon in Paris - he was also part of the GB team that won bronze in the mixed relay. On top of the Gold & Silver medal for Team GB at the Tokyo Olympics.

For the sixth time since becoming Mayor in 2016, I’m freezing bus fares in London.

More people use the bus in our city than any other form of public transport. Freezing these fares will help Londoners on lower incomes struggling with the cost of living.

Jill Viner was the first woman to drive a London bus licensed to carry passengers back in May 1974. Today, she will be honoured with a new plaque at Cromwell Road bus station.

This plaque will help Londoners learn more about her story and be inspired by her pioneering legacy.

Good news from Transport for London (TfL) - the £15-a-day charge for driving in London's congestion charge zone will be suspended from Christmas Day (Wednesday 25 December 2024) to Wednesday 1 January 2025 (inclusive).
ULEZ will not operate on Christmas Day

- Central Government is benefiting financially from households being in homeless accommodation rather than the PRS, because they pay just *90% of the LHA rate from 20211*
